This IDC Financial Insights report provides survey results regarding cloud adoption within U.S. banks as well as plans for the future, business reasons to embrace cloud, and barriers to adoption. Cloud is disrupting IT organizations at U.S. banks, but maybe more importantly, solutions and technology in the cloud are introducing change throughout the institution.

According to Jeanne Capachin, vice president, Commercial Banking Research, "With cloud, IT can move from roadblock to responsive partner — meeting business goals more quickly and with lower capital outlays than would be required with traditional deployments."
