This IDC Buyer Case Study outlines the steps Beca, a New Zealand-based engineering consulting group, undertook for its telecommunications strategic review to lower costs and advance its business and technology objectives. This included the retirement of its PBX system in favour of Microsoft Lync to advance its UC strategy. Beca was also in the midst of moving its head offices, which meant it had to deliver against a very tight time frame.

The case study was presented at IDC/InTEP Information Technology Experience Program in Wellington, May 2012. InTEP is a bimonthly, membership-based forum where NZ CIOs meet and exchange ideas and experiences.
