This IDC study presents the preliminary Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ IPTV services market forecast for the 2012–2016 time frame. As bandwidth increases due to national next-generation network projects or network upgrades, and as more people adopt broadband services, there will be plenty of opportunities for growth, and IDC believes the APEJ IPTV market will continue to expand rapidly over the next five years.

According to Ryan Tay, research manager, AP Telecommunications Research Practice Group, "The APEJ IPTV market continues to show remarkable growth across all company sizes and vertical segments. In particular, it is gaining traction and maturing in countries such as Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, the People's Republic of China or PRC, Singapore, and Taiwan," says Ryan Tay, research manager, Telecommunications Research Practice Group, IDC Asia/Pacific.
