This IDC study presents the results of IDC third annual study of end-user awareness of and adoption of software appliance products. The study covers 300+ end-user organizations in the United States and captures data that analyzes the deployment intentions and the perceived pros and cons for software appliances in their organizations. "Adoption remained robust, even during tough economic times when many companies were bearing down and not making many changes to their environments," said Brett Waldman, research analyst, System Software. "This survey has also shown that the software appliances in production have matured dramatically and are starting to live up to the expectations placed on them." |
