The FOCUS: VOD, DVR, HDTV 2011 report presents data on subscription, usage of, and satisfaction with VOD, DVR, and HD services. It also provides a profile of users for each of these services. In this time where consumers can find content On Demand, tape it using DVR, and view television and moving programming in crisp high definition, the multichannel consumers who use these increasingly rich features are a key market for multichannel providers. Understand how your consumers are using VOD, DVR, HD, and other digital television features to get the best possible experience. For this report, 1,000 telephone interviews among heads of TV households (including multichannel subscribers -cable, satellite, FiOS TV, and U-verse TV- and non-multichannel subscribers) were conducted. The study was fielded in January and February of 2011. The survey was conducted among a stratified random sample using cable systems as the primary sampling unit. The data are representative of all TV homes in cable-homes passed areas.
