Ferro-silico-chromium in South East Asia and Oceania

The global ferro-silico-chromium market is experiencing growth of 2% per year. World consumption is forecast to be worth over US$174 million by 2004. China is the largest producer of ferro-silico-chromium, with production around 75 thousand tonnes (US$55 million) a year. The Netherlands, the USA, and South Korea are the leading importers, while China, Russia, and Kazakstan remain as the major exporters. This report reviews the ferro-silico-chromium market in 46 countries from 1997, with forecasts forward to 2004.

This report covers ferro-silico-chromium. The production figures do not include recycled ferro-silico-chromium, nor is ferro-silico-chromium drawn down from stocks included in this report. As a result, estimated consumption for some countries may appear to be lower than anticipated.
