Acrylonitrile in Hungary

World consumption of acrylonitrile is over 4 million tonnes (US$4 billion) and is growing over 3% a year. The USA is the largest producer of acrylonitrile, with production of almost 2 million tonnes a year. Asia is the largest consuming region of acrylonitrile, accounting for 39% of world consumption, while demand is growing fastest in North America, which is experiencing, on average, a 7% growth per year. The USA and Japan are the major exporters. This report evaluates the acrylonitrile market in 57 countries from 1997, with forecasts forward to 2004.
