They are world leaders in the development of software tools for data modeling and forecasting. Gobi is also one of the first agencies to manage a major market research project in the Russian Federation.

Gobi is committed to developing and using new technology. This improves the quality of reports delivered to clients, as well as allowing Gobi to reduce prices. Since 1999 all reports are supplied in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format, enabling them to supply clients with considerably more data than was possible in print format. Reports can also be supplied in MS-Word format. Reports are supplied on CD-ROM and via the Internet. Gobi reports are now considerably larger than those produced by competitors. They also commit themselves to updating reports on a frequent basis. No Gobi report is more than a year old.

Company sales largely expanded through word of mouth. A leading international management consultancy that bought research from Gobi and three higher profile competitors said the Gobi report was "the only one that made sense." It was also the cheapest.
