The Globalysis 2008 Macau Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) ForecastGlobalysis Ltd.May 28, 2008 9 Pages - SKU: GLY1785457 |
| Countries covered: Macau The lights in Asia’s casino gaming capital are shining bright, as Macau has seen sterling performance in the past year. And the economic future seems even brighter, as the multi-billion dollar Cotai Strip comes to life and the region diversifies its integrated resort amenities. In 2007, gaming revenues Macau exceeded those of the Las Vegas Strip. While the global economy slowed in the fourth quarter, Macau’s gaming revenues appear to have emerged unscathed, perhaps due to the continuing influx of visitors from mainland China’s growing middle and upper classes. This rise continued in the first quarter of 2008. Looking forward, Globalysis expects Macau’s robust revenue growth to continue in 2008, despite some uncertainties in global economic conditions. |
