Global's vast experience in marketing to the ethnic communities shows that because many of these communities often are not targeted specifically (in the language and terms most appealing to them via their ethnic media), there is a lack of information about some products/services within those markets. Health Insurance is one example: not only is there a lack of information about Health Insurance available to the ethnic communities, but even the information that is available is often misunderstood. In an attempt to address this problem Global conducted a survey on demand for Health Insurance policies, comparing the efficiency of various means of information delivery; determining the market share of Health Insurance companies on the three markets; assessing levels of brand awareness of insurance providers; and identifying the interests, needs and psychographic trends of the potential ethnic consumer. The survey is aimed at aiding marketers in choosing the right strategy for targeted ethnic campaigns.
