Energy Conservation Standard by DoE for the US Pumps Market
The US Department of Energy (DoE) launched the Energy Conservation Standard for Pumps in the US market in December 2015. As a result of the standard, which sets the minimum efficiency for a given pump model, a quarter of the pumps installed in the United States are expected to be replaced with higher efficiency pumps. All pump manufacturers supplying to the US market are to adhere to this standard by 2020.
