Mozambique serves as a major regional hub in Southeast Africa, providing a natural exit to its landlocked neighbours including Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The country is a member of organizations such as the Commonwealth, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). The development of a promising transport and energy infrastructure will create a significant potential for the domestic gas market in Mozambique that will aid both the economy and residential sector. The government of Mozambique has introduced an enhanced private participation to facilitate rapid developments in road, rail, port, airport, ICT, and social infrastructure of the country in the next 5 years.
