| WAMP is one of a series of the available variations of LAMP, a software stack made up of open source solution used to run dynamic Web sites of servers. While LAMP leverages a Linux operating system, Apache Web server, MySQL database management system, and the PHP programming language (or alternative programming languages Perl or Python), the WAMP version leverages Microsoft's Windows operating system.
