| IBM Power Systems, which was formed in April 2008 from the combination of the former System p and System i lines, is a hardware and software platform operating on the IBM i, AIX, or Linux operating systems. The ever-evolving POWER7 systems deliver up to four times the performance and workload consolidation capacity, and three times the performance per watt of POWER6 processor-based systems.
