This decrease in sales was primarily caused by volume decline in cigarettes, as cigars, smoking tobacco and vapour devices all recorded positive retail volume and value growth in 2014. However, compared to the review period as a whole, the decline seen in 2014 was much lower. Cigarettes declined substantially between 2009 and 2014, and there is simply no more room for such steep negative growth rates as those that were seen in latter years...
