According to a study last year, 69% of Swedish online customers had smartphones, but just 17% of online stores had mobile customised web pages. 48% of Swedish online customers had smartphones, but still did not use them for buying products online, but plan to do so. Some chains, such as Netonnet and Ebay, invested in mobile applications to enable online shopping with a mobile phone. They believe there is potential, given the popularity of mobile phone usage in Sweden.
