  • HNW - An individual holding $1m in liquid assets.
  • Liquid assets - Liquid assets are defined as cash/deposits, ordinary stocks and shares, government and other bonds, and mutual funds and other collective investment schemes. It does not include pensions, assets or property.
  • Liquid asset bands - Liquid asset bands used in this report are in US dollars and represent either the number of individuals or the value of liquid assets held by individuals that fall between a specified range. For example, the $300,000-450,000 liquid asset band represents the number of individuals or the value of liquid assets held by individuals with between $300,000 and $450,000 in liquid assets.
