Henkel is a German based manufacturer and supplier of laundry, home care, cosmetics, toiletries and adhesive products. Its operations are divided into four business segments: laundry and home care, cosmetics and toiletries, consumer and craftsmen adhesives, and Henkel Technologies. The company recorded revenues of E12,740 million during the fiscal year ended December 2006, an increase of 6.4% over 2005. In February 2007,it merged the consumer and craftsmen adhesives and Henkel Technologies to form the Adhesives Technologies business. It expects this move to enable it to better utilize the core competencies of both businesses. The company's expenditure on research and development amounted to E340 million in the fiscal 2006, compared with E324 million in 2005.
