Banks are focused primarily on improving the efficiency of their operations. Lower tier banks are also concerned with customer acquisition. However, there is little difference between the four goals showing banks are taking a balanced approach. Creation of more open environment for further development and integration activities dominates amongst upper tier banks with low preference for replacement. The industry is moving into the next stage of branch renewal process, with support of ATM/kiosks, online, branch and contact centers initiatives.
