The florist industry is comprised of the commerce, production, and trade in flowers. Florist services include creation of floral design or flower arranging, the display of flowers, merchandising, and flower delivery. The funeral service industry includes companies that organize funerals and ready the deceased for interment. Funeral establishments conduct wakes, provide transportation of the deceased, as well as the sale of caskets and other funeral goods. The landscaping industry involves any activities that change visible features of an area of land. Landscaping includes installing gardens, trees, plants, shrubs, and lawns, as well as landscape care and maintenance services.
The consumer services industry is largely dependent upon the personal income of consumers. There is much competition with the consumer services industry as it is formed of many separate sub-industries that are competing with each other. However, due to this, the consumer service industry is fairly stable as services typically will always be needed in one form or another.
