14th Annual CE Ownership and Market Potential Study

CEA's annual benchmarking study explores the degree of ownership (penetration) and purchase intent for consumer electronics (CE) devices and technologies among U.S. households. Ownership and purchase intent are measured for nearly 50 CE products including HDTVs, Plasma and LCD TVs, Blu-ray disc players, MP3 players, gaming consoles, smartphones, laptop computers, tablet computers, e-readers, surround sound systems and soundbars. Subscription services as well as various types of content are also included in the survey. Household purchase intentions are segmented between first-time and repeat buyers, to provide an estimate of future demand. This study is a must read for anyone involved in the CE industry.
