Crowdsourced Environmental Stock Recommendations

This report by Conatix, in collaboration with the crowdsourcing platform Intelligent Recommendations (IR), analyzes a selection of seven companies active in the field of environment and sustainability that are part of the IR portfolio recommended by users. The IR platform collects the recommendations of users and applies algorithms so that collective intelligence can work. Addressing all risk classes of the users, this selection of environmental companies looks at each company’s past and present financial performance as well as its stock prices and trading volumes and compares records to those of comparable indexes. The analysis shows a mixed record of performance by the selected companies; green technology companies in particular generally underperform.
