Each Door/Window/Hardware Industry Quarterly Update analyzes data on overall U.S. industry trends; metal and wood doors; vinyl, metal, and wood windows; door and window hardware; factors driving demand; and company sales and profits. Each issue includes data on U.S manufacturer dollar shipments, plant employment and labor costs, imports and exports, product and material price trends, as well as estimates of U.S. unit sales of doors and windows by material. This allows subscribers to track the U.S door and window industry’s product shipment mix on a quarter-by-quarter basis. In addition, the Quarterly Update allows subscribers to follow trends that drive residential and nonresidential demand, including residential and nonresidential construction spending, home building and existing home sales, manufactured housing production, residential remodeling spending, mortgage rates, and personal income. Data is provided for full year 2008 and 2009 and quarterly trends for 2009 and 2010.
