With flourishing electronic industry, improving safety consciousness and environmental protection requirement, melamine cyanurate(MCA), which is mainly used as flame retardant in engineering plastics, especially in nylon, has enjoyed fast development in China in recent years. China has become one of the world's largest countries of MCA production and consumption. Meanwhile, attracted by low production cost and sufficient raw materials, more and more foreign manufacturers are planning to build plants in China. However, China's flame retardant market is still dominated by halogen flame retardant, so MCA consumption growth is much slower than its capacity expansion, thus resulting in low operating rate and intense competition in China's MCA market.
