United Arab Emirates Tourism Report Q1 2015

BMI View: The UAE's national tourism strategy involves boosting the number of international and nonregionalinbound tourists as well as promoting domestic tourism. We are anticipating a significant rise ininbound tourism over our forecast period, which will in turn increase the value of the hotel industry.

The UAE's tourism sector has grown substantially in recent years, owing to its status as a 'safe haven'destination for both leisure travellers and investors, when compared to the ongoing political instability thatis impacting on many different countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The Middle East represents the largest market for inbound travel and is expected to continue to do so overthe forecast period to 2018. This is mainly due to the UAE's geographical proximity and easy accessibilityvia air and road travel to other Gulf states.
