Originally started as a think-tank, the company became the first business information company in the former USSR by publishing the first edition of “Socioeconomic Potential of Russia and the Ex-Soviet Republics” in 1993. It has been kept current for hundreds of scientific and engineering developments in various industries, federal districts, regions, and cities of the Russian Federation and other NIS countries.

Today, by closely collaborating with numerous institutions in Russia and other Newly Independent States of the former USSR, we support comprehensive research projects for business people and corporations interested in developing business relationships within this vast, emerging region.

Our expertise in economics is backed up by reliable statistics. A basis for everything we do is our own huge off-line collection of statistics, which has been accurately collected during two decades since 1987. This collection is unparalleled, it contains around 200.000 tables for various areas of Russia/CIS business, society and demography.

A heart of the PlanetInform’s Russia/CIS Research Service is a team of economists and master statisticians renowned for the quality, reliability and comparability of their work.
