| The past twelve months had their ups and downs with respect to the implementation of electronic health record (EHR) projects across Canada. The withholding of federal funding, investigations by the Auditor General, and dealing with a global recession all impacted the realization of the goal of 50% of Canadians having access to an electronic health record by December 2010 (originally set by Canada Health Infoway). This month’s Digital Health NOW focuses on the status of the electronic health record initiative in Canada and what the future may hold.
