Service delivery platforms (SDP) generated USD3.8 billion in revenue worldwide during 2011, up 3% from USD3.7 billion in 2010.

The changes to our segmentation of the telecoms software market have resulted in some different market dynamics in the SDP segment in comparison with last year, but the top-six suppliers in this market remain the same. Ericsson maintained its leadership of the SDP market in 2011, taking a 17% share of worldwide revenue. The top-six suppliers – which also included Alcatel-Lucent, Amdocs, Huawei, Nokia Siemens Networks and Oracle – accounted for 67% of the revenue in the SDP market, which is consolidating as a result of acquisitions.

This Report:
  • provides detailed worldwide market share data for four application sub-segments:
  • telecoms application servers (TAS)
  • mobile content management and delivery (MCMD)
  • policy management (PM)
  • subscriber data management (SDM).
  • identifies the leading suppliers and their respective market shares in each application sub-segment, as well as by geographical region
  • offers a detailed analysis of the leading suppliers' strengths, weaknesses and strategic direction
  • includes a summary of the key trends and factors that affected the SDP market in 2011
  • provides recommendations for suppliers and communications service providers (CSPs).
Please note: this is delivered as a PowerPoint presentation.
