3rd Annual Survey of Technology Sector Employees: Current Economic Climate

 
This study was conducted over a three-week period beginning on September 10, 2004, and ending on September 30, 2004. There were 294 survey respondents; 65% had worked in the technology sector for six years or more, 57% were IT professionals (programmer, developer, software engineer, architect, DBA, project manager, network administrator, etc.), and another 20% were executives at technology companies (CEO, CIO, CFO, VP, etc.). Similar studies were conducted during 2002 and 2003. The current research report identifies significant divergences from these prior studies. The 2004 study also includes a new section on outsourcing of technology jobs to offshore locations.
